I’ve always loved physics, astrophysics and the night sky.
Learning how to use a telescope and overcoming the technical challenges in order to capture some images of deep sky objects was a real thrill.

Most of my astrophotography is captured from my Birmingham backyard, with Andromeda Galaxy taken on a short break to Devon from darker skies.
Astrophotography is exacting, which makes it all the more fun to give it a go. I still get out the telescope when we have a clear spell in the winter months and if I don’t have to be up for work early the next day.
If you’d like to learn more about how to tale images like these, look through the tutorials on astronomyshed.co.uk where you’ll find lots of pointers to get you started.
Wishing you clear skies!
